The People Speak — Will Congress Listen?

PROTESTING THE DEMOCRATIC HEALTH-CARE BILL: I had the privilege of traveling to Washington, D.C. on Saturday, March 20, 2010, and photographing the “Kill the Bill” Tea Party rally that was held on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. The purpose of the rally was to entreat members of the House not to pass the Senate’s health-care legislation.

When I initially published this post on Sunday evening (3/21/10), the U.S. House of Representatives was scheduled to vote a few hours later on the passage of the Senate’s bill. Unfortunately, that bill passed late that same night.

This article includes only a few select photos of the 3/20/10 “Kill the Bill” Tea Party rally. Check out ADDITIONAL PHOTOS via the links at the BOTTOM of this article.

"Kill the Bill" — Many citizens believe our country's Founders would be vehemently opposed to the massive government expansion and intrusions mandated by the health-care reform bill.

Despite the police line, a large contingent of citizens were able to storm the front of the Rayburn House Office Building, though most were denied entrance.
